Newgate Mission exists to feed the people of God in mind, body and spirit. All our ministries and services aim to meet the basic needs of our human condition, especially those affected by poverty.
Newgate United Methodist Mission of Longview, Inc. began in 1990. While Newgate is a mission of the United Methodist denomination, it opens its doors to cross all denominational lines as we all participate together in God’s mission. We also seek to collaborate with local community agencies who share our passion to love and serve our community.
As you consider the birth of Jesus this season, please remember His children at Newgate Mission. We need your donations to survive – to feed people, help with medicine, provide transportation, fill the need for hygiene items, and to continue to share the good news of Christ.
LeTourneau Campers Help Mission

Every Sunday around 125-150 homeless, under-resourced, marginalized, and other people meet at Newgate to worship God. Monday through Friday between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. 50-75 people meet for Bible study.
The Mission provides donuts and coffee to the low-income of our community every weekday at 6:30 a.m. On Saturday and Sunday mornings, with the help of many wonderful local church volunteers, the Mission provides a hot breakfast.
Newgate Mission serves a hot lunch Mondays through Fridays at noon. On average, we serve about 100 people per day, peaking at the end of the month at around 200. Our portions are generous as we often provide their only hot meal of the day.
We have many different ways that you can get involved to further God’s ministry here at Newgate. We welcome your input and questions about Newgate Mission and with continued community support and partnerships we can help the needy.
