Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.
Newgate strives to be a beacon of light
for those who live in a seemingly hopeless world.
To demonstrate God's love for all of his children while working daily to inspire hope and transition in our community.
Be Respectful. Be Helpful. Be Grateful.

What We Do

Breakfast and lunch are served by volunteer groups at 8 and 11 respectively each Saturday, and 9 and 12 on Sundays. Church services are led by volunteers at The Annex every Sunday at 8 am. All are welcome!
Make a Difference!
Almost all of our daily activities are volunteer-driven. If you have a heart for the people of Newgate, we have a place that will fit your interests and skills.
Morning Devotionals & Breakfast
Volunteer-led devotionals are held at 7:30 am every weekday, and coffee and donuts are served.
Help Desk & The Annex
The volunteer-run Help Desk is open every weekday morning from 8:30-12:30 in The Annex, where donated hygiene products are distributed. We also offer showers and a volunteer program to use our laundry facilities. Computers are available for email and job searches/applications, and community members pick up their mail in The Annex.
Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 8:30-11, a volunteer drives our community members to doctor's appointments, the grocery store, and picks up donations from local businesses.
Local churches, families, and businesses send groups to serve hot lunches every weekday at 11:30.
Newgate offers volunteer programs to assist community members in obtaining driver's licenses and birth certificates, and we provide assistance and support in their job and housing searches. Local groups offer programs during the week on Medicare/Medicaid benefits, HIV education, dental education and assistance, healthy eating, and more. We completed our first Getting Ahead Class this spring, and we plan to start another in the fall. In the meantime, we offer classes throughout the week for budgeting and job preparation, and we also host a regular support group. Please call the Mission for dates and times.
